Control and modeling of unmanned aerial vehicles for optimal monitoring of forest fires in a virtual reality environment

An Andalusian research group (Spain) has developed new modeling and control techniques from a "simulation space" to ensure the proper monitoring of forest fires through the use of robotic helicopters (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) that incorporate computer vision algorithms to analyze the fire and sensor networks that provide the fire information on real time. The institute seeks to transfer the technology through entering into license agreements.
